The Color of Love: A Story of a Mixed-Race Jewish Girl

Join us on Zoom to meet Marra B. Gad, author of The Color of Love: A Story of a Mixed-Race Jewish Girl.

As president of Egad! Productions, Marra B. Gad oversees the development and production of scripted television series and films.  A grateful biracial and Jewish child of adoption, Marra speaks internationally to issues of racism, bias, identity and about her own transracial adoption in 1970, through the lens of her debut memoir, THE COLOR OF LOVE: A Story of a Mixed-Race Jewish Girl, winner of the 2020 Midwest Book Award for Autobiography/Memoir.

Marra proudly holds a BA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MA in Jewish History from Baltimore Hebrew Institute at Towson University.  Having written her first television pilot, Marra is currently working on her next book from her home in Los Angeles.

We look forward to an enlightening discussion with Marra using a question and answer format.  As you read the book, we’d love to gather your question(s)!  Please submit all questions to Kim McConnell (kim@mymcconnell.com) no later than Monday, April 26th.
