Brotherhood

We want you to join us!

If you are interested in joining TBO Brotherhood you can join online.  You can also join or renew your membership while completing the annual membership gift form in the summer.

There are plenty of volunteer opportunities.  We are always looking for people to help with TBO service projects, community service projects, event planning and leading the Brotherhood.  We do not have a board but anyone with an interest is welcome to attend our monthly meeting.

TBO Brotherhood Service Corps
The TBO Brotherhood has a number of members who will volunteer their time and expertise to help TBO members with:

● small projects around the house or yard

● smart phone, computer or network assistance

● grocery shopping ride and assistance

● doctor visit ride and assistance

● moving assistance (not whole house)

● home visits

Examples of the types of home/yard projects would be changing light bulbs, hanging
pictures, planting flowers/shrubs, and light pruning.  The Service Corp volunteers will not do work that requires a professional license or a volunteer is not comfortable doing, for example working off a ladder over one story.

To request help:
1. Email your request to tbofix@tboraleigh.org and provided your name, contact phone number and request description. Alternatively, you can call the TBO Executive Director at 919-781-4895 ext 109 and leave a voicemail with your
name, contact phone number and request description. This information will be forwarded to a Brotherhood service coordinator.
2. A Brotherhood service coordinator will contact you to get more details, determine if we can accommodate the request and create a work order.
3. The Brotherhood coordinator will find a Brotherhood member who can provide the service and that person will contact you directly to arrange a time to get the request completed.
4. If any materials are needed you will be expected to provide or pay for them.
5. You will be asked to initial the work order before the work starts and sign after the work is completed.
6. Once the request is completed, you may get a follow up call to get your feedback and help us improve the Service Corps.

Note: Raleigh-Cary Jewish Family Services also offers grocery and doctor rides. Please
see if their service is more appropriate for you. Contact JFS at (919) 397-4390 or
