Shabbat

Shabbat Evening Services

Shabbat Evening Services are held Fridays at 7:00 pm. Shabbat is a time when we gather for reflection, spiritual renewal and strengthening our community.  We welcome Shabbat with prayer, song, and learning from the weekly Torah portion.  Friday night services are followed by an oneg, a wonderful opportunity for TBO Community members to nosh and connect. In the summer months (Memorial Day through Labor Day), we gather for the oneg at 6: 15 pm, before services.

Saturday Shabbat Mornings

Services begin at 10:30 am.   Saturday morning services include celebrations of our B’nai Mitzvah.  On the Shabbatot without these celebrations, join us for a Learning Service, which offers the opportunity for worshippers to ask questions and share their thoughts.

Those who want to explore the torah portion of the week are welcome to attend Torah study beginning at 9:00 am.

Mazel Tot Shabbat

Held at 9:30 am on the *FINAL* Saturday of the month, this fun, engaging, musical service with Zemer Lexie is geared towards families with children ages 0-5 (and their siblings).  Come and capture that special Shabbat feeling!

Family Shabbat Services

An interactive, relaxed Shabbat service geared particularly towards religious school-aged children.  We encourage singing and movement through prayer to enhance the service.  These services engage our students during the Jewish holidays and celebrate their accomplishments at various times throughout the year: Back to School, High Holy Days, Sukkot, Chanukah, Purim, and Student Recognition.

Shabbat Alive

This high energy, music filled service is held in the Satisky Congregational Hall.  Held in the round, Shabbat Alive features the Ban/d from the Bimah, Zemer Lexie and occasional guest musicians. Shabbat Alive offers uplifting, engaging music paired with thoughtful iyunnim (short teachings or stories) from our Rabbi and fellowship with our TBO community.
