Memory: Two Perspectives—Traditional Judaic Thought and Modern Neuroscience

In this talk I will discuss the role of memory in Biblical and Talmudic thought (Remember the Sabbath, Yizkhor, Remember the Exodus) and then discuss what we know of how memory works in health and disease from the neuroscience perspective.  I will then circle back and link these two perspectives together. I present this topic following a forty year career as a clinical neurologist with a lifelong commitment to Judaism.
